It's been quite a complicated week, but we've managed to progress about as much as we wanted. The version will, however, undergo a few changes for a number of reasons, which we will explain.

But don't worry, v1.1.3 is still scheduled for the end of the year and will still contain the same amount of content, it just won't be quite the same.

So everything related to your votes is kept, the amount of adult content is kept, the Mrs. Claus illustration will take place.

However, the version will not include: the modified investigation system, the new ability tree and the hard mode.

First of all, regarding the investigation system, this comes from the realization that what we had planned is ultimately not interesting and doesn't render well. So we prefer to do an investigation with the tools we already have rather than add something that doesn't work.

As for the new ability tree, given the content of the more investigation-oriented version, it's not a priority, so we prefer to postpone it to focus on the investigation (we'll talk about it later).

Finally, the hard mode has turned into a new idea (which will be useful for the hard mode, but not only) that we'd like to explore in more detail, and that requires time.

This brings us to the main problem with the production of this version: Zack's health problems aren't solved and won't be before the release of v1.1.3, given the difficulty of accessing certain doctors where we live.

That's why, instead of the planned features, we've decided to offer a more in-depth investigation with a stronger connection to the main story. We're trying to adapt to the problems we encounter, while always aiming to offer you something cool.

As for the work that's been done, we've gone back to writing the scenario and dialogues to add new ones and push the investigation further.

In art, Sunny has continued to work on Lana's apartment and has tackled a new illustration in connection with the new content of the investigation.

La semaine a été assez compliquée mais nous avons pu avancer à peu près comme nous le voulions. La version va cependant subir quelques changements pour plusieurs raisons que nous allons vous expliquer.

Mais ne vous inquiétez pas, la v1.1.3 est toujours prévue pour la fin d’année et contiendra toujours autant de contenu, ce ne sera juste pas tout à fait le même.

Donc tout ce qui est lié à vos votes est conservé, la quantité de contenu adulte est conservée, l’illustration de la Mère Noël aura bien lieu.

Par contre la version ne comprendra pas : la modification du système d’enquête, le nouvel arbre de compétence et le mode difficile.

Déjà pour le système d’enquête, cela vient du constat que ce que nous avions prévu n’est au final pas intéressant et ne rend pas bien. Nous préférons donc faire une enquête avec les outils dont nous disposons déjà plutôt que de rajouter quelque chose qui ne fonctionne pas.

Pour le nouvel arbre de compétence, au vu du contenu de la version plutôt orienté enquête, il n’est pas prioritaire, nous préférons donc le repousser pour nous concentrer sur l’enquête (on en parle après).

Enfin, le mode difficile s’est transformé en une nouvelle idée (qui servira pour le mode difficile mais pas que) que nous souhaitons explorer plus en détails et cela demande du temps.

Nous arrivons donc au problème principal de la production de cette version : les soucis de santé de Zack ne sont pas réglés et ne le seront pas avant la sortie de la v1.1.3 vu la difficulté d’avoir accès à certains médecins là où nous nous trouvons.

C’est pourquoi, à la place des fonctionnalités prévues, nous avons décidé de proposer une enquête plus poussée et avec un lien plus fort avec la trame principale. On essaye de s’adapter aux soucis qu’on rencontre avec toujours pour objectif de vous proposer quelque chose de cool.

Pour ce qui est du travail qui a été fait, nous avons repris l’écriture du scénario et des dialogues pour en ajouter de nouveaux et pousser l’enquête plus loin.

En art, Sunny a continué de travailler sur l’appartement de Lana et a attaqué une nouvelle illustration en lien avec le nouveau contenu de l’enquête.

Voilà pour cette news, on voulait surtout être un maximum transparent avec vous pour que vous soyez au courant de ce qu’il se passe. Mais pas de panique, la v1.1.3 est toujours en production et arrivera toujours à la période souhaitée 😊
