I am about to finish Disquiet Gods today and need the hordes help! Which of these books should I read next? Have an alternate suggestion? Leave it in a comment! Just cause something doesn't win doesn't mean it won't be read. :)

Still throwing my vote in for the manga "Witch Hat Atelier," though not sure manga is in the running for this or not.

Still advocating for a Jojo’s read through or watch through tho

Voting for Ursula K LeGuins Left Hand of Darkness

I’ve only read Ken Liu’s translation work this far so I’m tempted to vote for him, but my dude, Discworld. Time for some fantasy with laughter.

Goblin Underling #237

I second LeGuin, but for a lighter read I'd be interested in your take on Star Kingdom or Dragon Blood by Lindsay Burokar. Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky is quite an interesting read for something more serious :-)

Iain Young

I'd like to recommend Empire of the Vampire by Jay Kristoff, really enjoyable and well written. Set in a pseudo historal French-ish, swords and flintlock fantasy horror setting. It's a book with dry ribald humour and big stakes drama, some sexiness and great dramatic action set pieces. Also not nearly so naff as the title might make you think. There's a second book called Empire of the Damned which I just finished and also thoroughly enjoyed. Kinda makes vampire stories cool again. At least as well written as Sun Eater novels I'd say. Can't wait for the third one!

Check out Glen Cook's Black Company series. I think you will like it.

I'll be one of the only people voting for The Last Sun lol, tarot sequence was an extremely unexpected new fav series for me. The quality of the books just shoots up with each new release, and as a bonus the author is absolutely lovely and has cultured a very wholesome fanbase. It's very rare for me to find a series I feel represented in while also having it cater to so many of my preferences

I kinda want you to read To Gaze Upon Wicked Gods that was one of the Cait Corrain victim books. It's adult in some markets and YA in others and it's THE buzzy fantasy debut of the year, with all the $$$ and marketing behind it! But I'm also a bit sadistic and want to see you rant, but maybe we shouldn't subject you to that book...

throwing my hat in for Mushroom Blues! The first impression was just so interesting and weird

We are in desperate need of more Discworld content!🐢

If I could suggest a book for you to read and review it would be either Illusions: The Adventures Of A Reluctant Messiah or Jonathan Livingston Seagull, both by Richard Bach
