Nathan

Hello! I'm here to promote LUCY to everyone and hopefully influence the vote! (tldr; I think the songs Rolling Rolling, Play or Haze would make Adam cry and I think that's enough reason to vote for them. But also, do you like when Hao from ZB1 plays his violin? Well imagine a group with a permanent violinist! It's that so cool?? Please give them a chance, I'm desperate here 😭) Who is LUCY? LUCY is a 4 member band under Mystic Story (brother group to Billlie, ARrC and Daybreak) which consists of: Yechan ('92) - Leader, violinist 🐶 Sangyeop ('94) - Vocal, guitarist 🐿 Wonsang ('96) - Bassist, producer, sub vocal 🦝 Gwangil ('97) - Drums, vocal 🧸 They debuted on May 8th 2020 after they won 2nd place in the show Superband. Superband is a show that gathered a bunch of artists, from buskers to producers to former idols to already formed bands, and had them shuffle around until different solidified bands were formed. During SuBand, at the studio they recorded stuff at, there was a dog in the neighborhood who would always come around to play with them. The dog's name was Lucy, so that's how they picked their band name. Superband is also where Wonsang established the entire vibe of LUCY's music going forward (btw, he produces and composes 99% of their music, other 1% is the other members). He calls it "ambient pop" because the goal of his music is to transport the listener into the scene. So, often, their songs will have things like subway train sounds, firework rockets, people cheering, children laughing, knocking sound effects and stuff like that, that they record themselves, to really put the vibe into the song. It REALLY makes their music magical and unique. More on the vibe of their music: I'd say about 90% of their music is very bright, feel-good vibes with a magical flare, due to the violin being heavily incorporated. The other 10% are more rock or synth style songs. The one thing that never changes though is that the message of their music is to make you feel good. More often than not, their song lyrics tell stories of overcoming harships with society and yourself, with a heavy focus on loving yourself for who you are and finding the small things in life that bring you joy. Returning to childhood and finding yourself is another big theme across their music.

maaariiii_

I hope bands counts so i can vote for Xdinary Heroes. I still remember your small interaction during ISAC reaction 🥹

Nathan

I agree! I'd love for them to check out ASTRO at some point. They're SO up their alley

shawols in the chat, we neeeed to get Shinee in the lore. they've got the godtier vocals and choreo, the classic kpop anthems, the laughs and the required gay sensibility. then they can also finally react to Key's solo music like diva just released a zombie cruising anthem for the gays, ain't no-one out there doing it like him.

emojchic

I'd be happy with TWS, P1 Harmony, or RIIZE.
